Julia joined East Holland Vet in the spring of 2026 as a Veterinary Assistant. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine from Ferris State University and has worked in veterinary medicine since 2020, with experience in both emergency and general practice settings. Julia has a lifelong love of animals, especially horses, and hopes to continue building her experience as she works toward her long-term goal of becoming a veterinarian. Outside of the clinic, Julia enjoys hiking, baking, golfing, and spending time with her family. Originally from Traverse City, she now lives in the Grand Rapids area with her orange tabby cat, Diesel.
Carmen joined East Holland Vet in the spring of 2026 after graduating from Baker College. She is currently preparing to take her Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Carmen brings a genuine love of animals and a passion for learning to the team. Outside the clinic, she enjoys gardening pollinator-friendly flowers and collecting vinyl records. At home, she spends time with her two Chihuahuas, Roo and Brock, and her guinea pig, Kahlua. She has always had a special place in her heart for small pets and loves giving them food-inspired names!
Sarah joined East Holland Veterinary Clinic in 2025 as a Client Service Representative and brings a strong background in animal-focused education and client care. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries & Wildlife with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, giving her a solid understanding of animal health and the veterinary field as a whole.
As one of the first friendly voices clients hear, Sarah enjoys helping pet owners feel informed, supported, and confident in their care decisions. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and crafting. She shares her home with her two cats, Fluffy and JJ. Sarah also comes from a family with deep agricultural roots—her family farm has been in operation for over 100 years—which has shaped her lifelong respect for animals and hard work.
Ashlea joined the East Holland Veterinary Clinic team in 2025 and brings both formal education and hands-on experience to her role as a veterinary assistant. She attended Austin Peay State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture with a concentration in veterinary technology. In addition to her academic background, Ashlea has completed over 350 hours of clinical veterinary experience, giving her a strong foundation in patient care and clinical support.
Ashlea plans to pursue licensure as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Michigan, further expanding her skills and long-term commitment to veterinary medicine. She shares her home with her two cats, Willow and Maggie. Her combination of compassion, education, and practical experience makes her a valuable part of our team and a comforting presence for both pets and their people.
Natalie first joined East Holland Veterinary Clinic in 2024 as a student shadow from Hope College, where she is pursuing the pre-veterinary track. Even in her first year of undergrad, her dedication and curiosity for the field were unmistakable. After her shadowing experience, she officially joined the team as a Kennel Assistant.
Her background includes hands-on work with exotic species at Hope College—experience that sharpened her observation skills and her confidence around a wide range of animals. At the clinic, she’s the steady force that keeps things clean, organized, and running efficiently behind the scenes.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her dog—who undoubtedly benefits from her growing veterinary expertise.
East Holland Veterinary Clinic welcomed Lorelei to our team in 2025 as a Co-op Student through the Careerline Tech Center’s Agriculture & Animal Sciences program. Her enthusiasm for animal care and her strong work ethic make her an invaluable part of our daily operations. In her role as a Kennel Technician, Lorelei helps keep the clinic stocked, clean, and running smoothly—supporting the medical team and ensuring every patient enjoys a comfortable, safe environment. Her behind-the-scenes dedication helps our days stay organized and our care remain top-quality. Outside of work, she’s active in softball, marching band, FFA, and 4-H, where she’s cared for a variety of animals including a cow, five sheep, and two pigs she raised and showed as 4-H projects. At home, she has two cats, one dog, and a rabbit, and is known for her love of ranch dressing on just about everything.
Angelica joined the East Holland Veterinary Clinic team in June 2023 after completing an internship with us through Baker College. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Baker College in the spring of 2023 and has been dedicated to providing compassionate care to animals ever since.
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, Angelica plays a vital role in assisting with medical procedures, patient care, and client education. She is passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives and enjoys expanding her knowledge in the field.
When she’s not at the clinic, Angelica loves to unwind with a good book. At home, she shares her space with her energetic tabby cat, Puma—who certainly lives up to her name!
Ana is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who joined the East Holland Vet technician team in 2025, bringing with her two years of hands-on clinical experience. She graduated from Baker College with a degree in Animal Science and passed her VTNE shortly thereafter, officially earning her LVT credentials.
Since becoming licensed, Ana has worked in small animal practices where she developed a strong foundation in patient care, client communication, and surgical assistance. Her calm demeanor and clinical skill make her a trusted teammate and a reassuring presence for pet owners.
Ana is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, and she’s passionate about making veterinary care more accessible and comfortable for Spanish-speaking families in our community.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her knitting, reading, or singing—often with her two cats, Bella and Lena, nearby. (Though they prefer purring to harmonizing.)
Jenni joined the East Holland team in 2024. A Holland native, she recently returned to Michigan after spending 30 years in Arlington, Texas. Jenni brings valuable experience from her previous role as an office administrator at a veterinary hospital in Arlington.
In her free time, Jenni loves baking, sewing, traveling, theater, and reading.

Jordyn joined our team as a Kennel Assistant in the fall of 2024. She is currently a high school student at Zeeland East and has a passion for working with animals. Outside of work, Jordyn has been dedicated to dance for 12 years, showcasing her discipline and creativity. She also adores her black Yorkie-Poo, Griffin, who keeps her busy and entertained. Jordyn’s love for animals and hardworking nature make her a valuable part of our team!
Sam joined the East Holland team in 2024, coming to us with previous experience as a veterinary assistant/receptionist as well as having worked in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation. She also fosters for a couple of local animal shelters.When not at work, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, and thrifting. Her pets include her dachshund, Badger, and tortie cat, Raisin.
Manda joined our technician team in 2023. Manda is a Certified Dog Trainer and a Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. Manda enjoys hiking and dog sports. Manda has 3 dogs, “Rebel”, “Daisy” & “Harley”. Fun fact about Manda- She grew up on an Alpaca Farm!
The Colonel Mustard has been protecting the clinic since 2011. Colonel Mustard came to us after we rescued him from the engine of a Semco Energy service vehicle. Colonel Mustard loves sitting in his window seat in the lunchroom and if it’s lunch time you better believe he’s going to try to snuggle up with you while you eat.
Zach joined the EHVC Kennel team in June of 2024. Zach has previous experience at Mapleview Animal Hospital. Zach is a pre-vet student @ Northern Michigan University and will be with us for the summer. In his free time, Zach enjoys cars, video games & animals, and spending time with his yellow lab, Hazel.
Jenna joined our technician team in 2022. Jenna graduated in 2011 from Argosy University, located in Minnesota, with her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduation, Jenna passed her national certification test, becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Jenna’s career started at a large animal practice in Wisconsin after graduation and then moved to Florida, where she worked in a small animal veterinary practice. Jenna and her husband are new to Michigan, and they enjoy spending time with their son and Frenchie named Carmella.
Bryce has many years of experience in veterinary medicine. Bryce is a licensed groomer as well as an experienced Vet Assistant. Outside of work, Bryce enjoys spending time with his dogs and cats.
Val is part of our technician team with many years of experience working at our local shelter and fostering pets. Val is currently pursuing her veterinary technician degree online through Penn Foster. We look forward to watching her grow and gain the knowledge it requires to be a successful technician.
Samantha started working as a Customer Service Rep in 2021. Samantha enjoys Customer Service but found she really loves working with the patients and joined our technician team in 2023.
Connie has been a member of the receptionist team since 2017. She is dedicated to providing compassionate client/patient care. Connie has a cat named Mimi. She is married and has 2 adult daughters, one of which is currently pursuing her degree in Veterinary Medicine. In her spare time, Connie enjoys biking, hiking, playing volleyball, the beach, and being outdoors.
Susan has been a member of the receptionist team since 2002. She attended Michigan State and majored in Fisheries & Wildlife. Shortly after graduating, she came to work for Dr. Fred and Dara. Susan is a mother of 4 wonderful children, two dogs & 1 cat.
Her husband operates his family farm with his dad and brother. The family farm has around 200 sheep, 11 cows & multiple chickens, and guinea hens. Susan enjoys homeschooling her kids, reading, playing volleyball, and traveling. And, of course, spending time with her EHVC family & four-legged friends that come to visit us!
Anna joined East Holland Vet in 2002 and has been a dedicated part of the team ever since. She brings a deep passion for animals and a strong commitment to exceptional client care. As Front Desk Manager, Anna takes pride in leading her team and creating a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with her family.
Kara graduated from Baker College in 2015 with an Associate of Applied Sciences majoring in Veterinary Technology. After completing her school internship with us, we made her a full-time team member. She loves working with animals, but her passion is dental prophylaxis, educating clients & working with exotic animals.
Outside work, she enjoys walking the trails and going to the beach with her husband and English Setter–Harley. Kara also has two guinea pigs–Pops & Chip.
Sam has been a member of the technician team since 2017. She graduated from Hope College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In October 2018, Sam started an online program to obtain her Veterinary Technician License.
She is blessed to have a wonderful husband, Michael, a German short-hair pointer Flash, and a kitty named Remington. Remi was only three days old when she rescued him. She and her husband enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and the outdoors.
Bridgette has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2006 and became a valued member of the EHVC team in September 2018. Passionate about continuous learning, she actively pursues Continuing Education opportunities to enhance her skills and stay at the forefront of veterinary care. Her most recent achievement—earning Level 2 Fear Free Certification—has deepened her understanding of canine behavior, allowing her to create a more comfortable, low-stress experience for patients during their visits.
Outside of work, Bridgette and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors, especially gardening in the summer. She takes pride in watching her children embark on their own life adventures as young adults. At home, her fur family keeps her busy and entertained, including two playful French Bulldog puppies, Doja Cat and Dr. Dre, along with her charismatic kitty, Marley.
