Pet Vaccinations
Vaccines Are an Essential Part of Your Pet’s Health
We believe in healthy and responsible vaccination for all pets at East Holland Veterinary Clinic. When fully vaccinated, your pet is protected from common diseases that could significantly impact their well-being.
Our veterinarians provide all core vaccines for cats and dogs and work with clients to identify other necessary vaccines and preventative treatments. Factors like your pet’s health, age, lifestyle, and the region you live in can influence which vaccines are needed.
Core Vaccines for Cats and Dogs
Pet vaccines vary from species to species and sometimes from pet to pet. However, certain core vaccines are required for cats and dogs.
Core Vaccines for Dogs
- Distemper
- Adenovirus
- Parvovirus
- Parainfluenza
- Lyme disease
- Leptospira
Core Vaccines for Cats
- Feline panleukopenia
- Feline herpesvirus vaccine
- Feline calicivirus vaccine
Michigan state law also requires vaccination against rabies for all cats and dogs. This requirement protects the spread of rabies to humans and animals throughout the state.
Non-Core Vaccines for Cats and Dogs
We recommend non-core vaccines for pets based on their lifestyle. Common factors such as time spent outside or around other animals make these vaccinations essential for your pet’s health.
Non-Core Vaccines for Dogs
- Canine Influenza
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
Non-Core Vaccines for Cats
- Feline Leukemia
